I want to say thanks Brett for a awesome year, I was not really a football fan, just liked to watch an occasional game until you signed with the vikings, I had to watch every game I could. Your an awesome addition to the vikings and I want to thank you for a great year.

Hi Brett my name is Mike just some of my thoughts about retirement you have 1 more year on your contract your teammates all want you back you owe nothing to know body were you physically challenge last game yes were you mentally challenge last game yes. i think you answered the call on both what would of happened if you did not get called for 12 men in the huddle you would have handed the ball to Petersen for a couple of yards and had a 49yrd field goal attempt and probably changes everything you are feeling you have a good enough team to get there next year do you still love the game what i saw the whole year is yes and you still have enough in the tank for 1 more year i believe so we all have tough decision to make all are life’s is this one tough for you i don’t think so i saw a guy that loves the game and still has a lot of heart the beating you took in that last game was brutal but you bounced back and your heart led the way geese 5 turnovers and you still had a chance at that game pretty damn good i know by watching your wife on tv she worries about you and probably will talk you into retirement to keep your health personally i think you have 1 more year in you but what ever you decide i know it will be the right decision and i would go war with you anytime

Thanks Mike

Brett You are the best I thought I was a packer fan for life until the truth was out a bout Ted Thompson  I grew up rooting for the packers in the early 60′s and thru all of those bad years too. Then you came Green Bay and made the packers great again The only time I rooted against u is when u beat my college alma Fsu I found myself cussing at mike and ted and I can honestly say that I will never be able to root for the packers again Thanks for coming back this year You were great 2009  I am so glad that u did I have always enjoying watching u play although I never got to see u play in green bay  I got to see u with the jets at Tennessee Thanks for making my day that day the best ever I wanted to see u play one more time but I just could not afford to make any the trips. If u do retire this year football will never be the same  What else can a person say except thanks for those years u will never be forgotten You will always be the best to so many football fans around the country Thanks a lot Mr. Brett Farve You are best  Patti Herbst Panama City Florida 400 E.19th.Street Panama City Florida 32405

Dear Brett,

I actually feel a little bit ridiculous writing a letter to someone who seems more like a fictitious Superhero than a real person (which I have never felt compelled to write to real person either actually) but here it goes. You may see me as yet another heartbroken fan, which I am. But I’m not heartbroken for me, I’m heartbroken for you. For me as a fan, you did an amazing thing – you see, I lived in San Francisco during the years of Joe Montana, Steve Young and Jerry Rice, I can’ even explain how much fun it was to be part of a town that was high on football fumes. It was something special to watch those games, a feeling not just any football team can give you. Sunday was a sacred day at our apartment, my roommates and I would huddle around our tiny television in our tiny apartment surrounded by all of our football snacks and high hopes. We never missed a game. Then I moved to minnesota – and the football euphoria vanished into thin air. I lost my football luster and it just became another televised sport. Until you. You brought life into a team who’s razzle dazzle had been gone for awhile. You brought life into a town that had given up rooting for team that didn’t really seem to care about their own destiny anymore. You gave a team charisma, personality and made headlines for all the right reasons. As a 38 year old mother of 4, I now have those same euphoric feelings about my home team just like I did with the awe-inspiring era of the 49ers. You brought a team to life, you brought a teams potential to the forefront, and absolutely lit it up. You guys had an amazing groove this year and you all brought a tired state to it’s feet. I’m heartbroken for YOU, because YOU didn’t reach your goal this year – but you had nothing to prove to us, you already did that every Sunday all season long. You didn’t let us down, you brought us jumping to our feet. You took a beating for us and fought for every yard possible. As far as I’m concerned the Vikings still deserve the ticker tape and fan fare because it was an aw!
esome ye
ar with a fearless leader. All I have to say now is that if your 40 year old body can take another year (I’m praying for your health here), I’ll be perched with my family right in front of that TV, high on football fumes!

Sincerely,
Andrea

Dear Brett Favre,
I just wanted to start out by saying THANK YOU for one hell of a year of football!! Its awesome to see a team play with so much HEART. You guys played very well and gave me a great time watching football this year.
I’m 27 years old and work as a carpenter for Kraus Anderson in Minnesota and I’ll be honest I have never written a fan letter before. I just want you to know how much I appreciated you coming to the Minnesota Vikings this year. I already had you on my team in Madden 09 with my franchise before you signed knowing you are the answer to what this high caliber team needed! (it took gus ferrotte, bobby wade and 3 draft picks to trade for you too!)
Growing up I was a huge John Elway, Mike Shannahan, and broncos fan, so Ill be honest and say I was rooting for the Broncos but that was best Super Bowl I ever watched. You and Elway are and will remain my favorite quarterbacks to ever play this game.
It was just the past 3 years I have really started to become a true vikings fan. I sincerely hope you can and will come back next year. I had people over for every game you guys won this year so naturally we thought that was the ticket for you guys winning so everyone came over. I was lucky enough to see the Bears and Giants game at the metrodome this year and some of the throws you made where just flat out impossible to me, but you made them anyway. The one that stands out the most is when I was at the giants game sitting upper deck behind the endzone and you just threw a cannon perfectly for a td about ten yards out. That ball had to be put there perfectly and I don’t think any other quarterback could have made that throw. You really have a SPECIAL TALENT! I love seeing the way you and Rice connected this year as well, especially the pass against dallas last week. That was another pure amazing play.
I’m sorry for rambling on like this so I’ll just end with this last little bit. I was at the mall of america last august and bought my first vikings jersey ever. yours. Again I just wanted to thank you for a great year and hope you come back next year.

Sincerely,
Corey Stencel

Brett, you have become a member of our family! We have enjoyed this past Viking season more than any other. As a parent of a 10 year old and 20 year old and given the “video” era that it is, one thing I could count on is that on Sunday if you were playing, my kids would put down the Wii or “call of duty” and we would all sit as a family and watch you. You have a way about you that makes us feel that we are your friend. Thanks so much, you truly are one of a kind.  We pray that you will give us one more year!
