MADISON, WISCONSIN — February 3, 2009 – A new tribute book about former Green Bay Packer quarterback Brett Favre is receiving critical acclaim.
“Letters To Brett Favre: A Fan Tribute” by bringbackbrettfavre.com founders Erick and Adam Rolfson, and Wisconsin author Thomas Hapka, has just received an endorsement from literary consultant and award-winning author Carolyn Howard-Johnson.
“Letters to Brett Favre” finally did for me what years of my little football-fan husband’s explaining, nudging, and cheerleading could never before do,” Howard-Johnson said in a statement from her California office. “It made me understand why people are avid football fans. I serve up the Cokes and popcorn with a different attitude than I ever did before.”
Erick Rolfson spoke of the endorsement in an interview Wednesday morning.
“I think Carolyn’s endorsement is especially impressive, given the fact that she is not a sports fan,” Rolfson said. “This isn’t just a sports book; it’s a book about life, filled with powerful stories and personal tribute messages from fans around the world.
Hapka and the Rolfsons are donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of “Letters To Brett Favre: A Fan Tribute” to the Special Olympics. The book is available through letterstobrettfavre.com and the home page of the Wisconsin Special Olympics.
