Brett, Well I don’t know how to start this letter, My father and I have been Brett Favre fans forever, even when you played for the packers. Every year my dad says he won’t live long enough to see the Vikings win the big show, and this year just adds to the tally. With that being said, you have played your guts out every week. You have showed the country how to be a competitor, and that love for the game can over come time. My father is turning 50 in March, and with a big party planned it should be a good time for him. I am currently serving the Minnesota Air National Guard and the United States Air Force and will miss his birthday as I am training in Texas for a new specialty. I bought him a Minnesota Vikings #4 jersey, which I am sure will make him smile from ear to ear in my absence. You have been an inspiration for my dad as he ages, and an inspiration for me as I embark on life’s journeys. My father and I have been as close as a father son can be, and I want you to know how much your courage and strength means to him. He carries the same zest for life that you do, and I believe that you give him an extra step.
